St Ives CC 2014 Promotion – Vericool For School Circuit of the Fens 2014
Exciting developments are afoot for the St Ives CC Promoted – 2014 Vericool For Schools Circuit of the Fens – to make it bigger and better. The race will form part of the National Elite calendar that replaces the Premier events. Taking part in the later part of the year the race is part of the Grand Prix series and coming a week before the Commonwealth Games should attract a very high quality field. In addition the race will be televised which we hope will be a major boost to the event and the surrounding area. We are proud to be the second biggest bike race in Cambs next year! Tour De France is number 1! The Grand Prix and support race is scheduled for the 27th of July 2014 and there will be a Sportive on the 26th of July 2014. We have a great new sponsor Vericool For Schools helping to take the race to the next level.

We have so much to look forward to for 2014
Elite Race – Now with a major headline sponsor, the race will be known as the Vericool For Schools Circuit of the Fens. This sponsorship allows us to take the race to the next level and it seems that British Cycling agree as it will form part of the series that replaces Premier calendar events in 2014. The event will be held over 135 miles with 6 laps over a modified and extended closing circuit going through and finishing in the town centre.
Support Race – This regional A race is unique in that it is held over closed roads and will finish in the town centre. It will have the same HQ as the elite race, use the same course and finish in the town centre having done a circuit of the town centre.
Sportives – On the 26th we are organising 4 Sportives 130 miles, 130 KM, 30 miles and a family ride. Our aim is to mirror the experience as much as possible that the pros will get on the Sunday with the same HQ, finishing circuit and finish area.
Lots more details to come!
